Client D – Large-Scale Equipment Audit, Removal and Sale

telecom warehouse inventory

Situation

One of our large projects in 2004 consisted of auditing and marketing the contents of a 25,000 square-foot warehouse that contained over 2,000 Lucent Autoplex frames, Nortel CDMA analog frames, Motorola CDMA analog frames, Lucent Mod Cells and Alcatel microwave radio gear along with Marconi power distribution units and rectifiers and over 500 pallets of circuit boards, filters, power units, and power supplies.  ATNI had 30 days to remove the materials from the facility.  We sent a crew with laptop computers and scanners to create an Inventory Report consisting of manufacturers, part numbers, descriptions, serial numbers, HECI codes, revision levels, quantities and pallet numbers.

Result

The gear was marketed, sold, packaged and shipped with a few days to spare all while selling the materials on a pre-pay or cash on delivery (COD) basis.
